I had a big question on the above !!!! if you e-file, do you have to send photographs (only for EAD ..not asking about AP)??
also, if you efile - do you have to send copy of driver license ???
I thought - you have to send
1) confirmation page
2) 485 recpt copy
3) and maybe the top portion of the previous EAD card ..please confirm ..will really appreciate the same !!

anyone with answer to this ..Dhundhun ?

I applied for new (first) EAD. I went ahead with e-filing instructions. I knew form earlier posts and googling that people have mentioned several documents.

Used A# in Question 10, I think it was sufficient, so did not sent "485 recpt copy".

The intent of USCIS sending "the top portion of the previous EAD letter" is to expedite the processing of EAD - anyone did e-filing for renewal can confirm this - was it used?

Please refer to http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-765instr.pdf page 6 (Required Documentation) also.

Do you mean to say that if we efile we will have to go through the fingerprinting process again, whereas if we mail in our application we will not have to go through the fingerprinting process.

Can somebody answer this question. Do we have to resubmit our fingerprint for ead and AP renewal.

for my wife - I was planning to renew it by mail as we wanted to avoid the fingerprinting notice ..we took the FP just 4 - 5 months back ..I don't know why they want so many finger prints ?? really sucks !!
