Default Please Advice: NSC(MO) issued 1-Year EAD while Nebraska issued 2-year EAD for spouse

I E-filed for EAD renewals for me and my spouse in September'08. We are the July'07 applications into the 485 with approved 140 and EB3 PD of Aug 2006

The wife is the primary applicant and her EAD application went to Nebraska and was approved in 60 days with 2-year validity. However, my application went to Missouri (National SC) who approved it in 85 days with 1-year validity. Both of us are on H-1B visa so these EADs are backups.

This is frustrating as I was hoping to get 2-year EAD extension as well. Anybody had a similar experience? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Please advice.

A couple of thoughts
1. Are you both in seperate locations - addresss

2. During E-File- for your application(Spouse) - What did you select on this field
Basis of pending I-485: Family-based or Employment-based
My guess is you have selected Family based and hence it went to Missouri- otherwise both your applications had to go to Nebraska.

Default i also have exactly same experience

But the only difference is i'm the primary applicant. I myself E filed for EAD renewals. All these years we are living in MO and all the time our case is in Nebraska Service Center. But when i saw a different receipt number for my wife, i felt it's strange. Anyway, i got a 2 year EAD where as my wife got only 1 year EAD extension from National Service Center, Lee Summit, MO
Anyway i'm glad that her EAD came just in timem, otherwise she would have lost her job.

Sometime ago i opened a thread for this kind of situation related to National Service Center, MO
