Default Got EAD approved in 12 Days - eFiled

Kudos to USCIS for approving my e-Filed EAD application within matter of days. I e-Filed on 6/11/2012 and got the approval email today on 6/23/2012. This approval was exceptionally fast. I remember my I-140 got approved in 2 days but I did the premium processing for it. I hope its not an email in error. I guess I will find out sooner or later!!

Anyone else noticed such fast approvals for EADs?

Mine was not a combo card. I e-filed and got the application number that begins with SRC that leads me to believe that it went to Texas Service Center.

Default eFile Approval without Biometrics RFE?

Earlier it used to be that whenever you eFiled for EAD or AP, you used to get an RFE to appear for Bio-Metrics.

1. Are you saying that these days eFiled EAD/AP is getting approved without RFE for Bio-Metrics?
2. Anyone applied for Combo Card electronically? If so what was the outcome?

Cheers,
Dude.

I am not sure where you got this information from. I have always eFiled for EAD and AP and never received an RFE for biometrics. The first time I got a biometrics letter with my application receipt (this was when I filed for EAD along with the initial I-485 application: did not file for AP). Thereafter, I never got a request for biometrics and my EAD card would always say "not available" in the fingerprint section.

Ya, EAD approvals are much faster now, but USCIS makes sure that you won't be happy too long by screwing up the AP

Applied EAD and AP combined online, EAD is approved in 10 days, RFE issued for AP in 25 days. I could not think of any paper that I missed, may be I sent too many supporting documents. Will update about the RFE when I receive it.

Indeed USCIS improved their processing times...

Default Question to folks...

I e-filed for my EAD & AP on May 12th with TSC and on June 18th my AP was approved. EAD application still in intial review? Has anyone one else in same situation? Meaning filed both EAD & AP at same time with concurrent filing number and one application is approved and another one still in review / pending status? Please share your experiences. Thanks in advance.

Default Approval Time Variables?

My I-765 was delivered to the TSC on June 11 along with an associated I-485. I have the I-797c Receipt, which is marked with a Received Date of June 11th, and a Notice Date of June 13th. I filed using the paper forms, by FedEx. My case is in "Initial Review"—which is not particularly surprising, given that the USCIS website lists "3 Months" as the expected wait time—but as some people have already been approved despite filing after me, I have a few questions:

1) By what system does USCIS process new applications? Is it first come, first serve?
2) Which variables speed up or slow down the process? Does it take longer if filed along with an I-485? Mine was the first I-485 I'd ever filed; I presume this will increase the time taken for the I-765 to be processed, as opposed to those whose background checks etc. were completed a while ago?
3) Is there a significant difference in processing time between filing electronically and physically submitting the I-765?
4) @ananthaneni, did you receive approval yet?

Thanks,

Cal
