Default Porting dates between husband and wife

I'm just curious if any one knows of USCIS porting priority dates between spouses. Reason I ask is my wifes EB3-I priority date is March 2005 and I filed my I-140 under EB2-I in March this year.

This week, we received status updates on both our I-485s that were filed as part of my wife's GC application which happened as a result of my I-140 processing. Any thoughts?

A few qns:

What is your PD? What did the status update say?
When did you file I-485? Under EB3 or EB2 and who is the Principal?

A couple of people here got GC after reversing Principal/derivative when the spouse's PD became current. Not sure if your case is similar.

Our I-485's were pending at TSC since 2007 and then suddenly when I applied for my EB2 I-140, the I-140 and both I-485s were transferred to NSC for processing. I have heard of other porting cases that were also transferred so was wondering if the same was happening in my case even though the earlier I-485 was based on my wife's EB3-I application.

Priority Date can be recaptured only for same beneficiary.
