Default Urgent

Hi Folks,

Need some help regarding the TB skin test +ve results.

The TB skin test results came out +ve. Wondering the next step is to take an x-ray. But the doctor insists to take a blood test first before the x -ray.

Is there a change in the rule recently or am I missing something here?

Thanks for the quick reply.

So there is no need to take a blood test and just take the x-ray. What if the doctor insists to take a blood test? Is there any info that I can show the doctor.

Alternate to Skin test is X-ray , i am not sure why DR insisting for blood test .
I would get over with it even if i had to blood test , which i dont think is necessary to rule out TB.

Default Mentoux test positive -pls help

hi, i got my mentoux test done 3 days back and got the result and it says that TB is in latent state. The X-ray shows old scars too. I have undergone this test for a cruise ship job. Do you think the employer can reject me on the basis of this report ?
