Default Using AP without original 485 reciept

Hello guys.

Question I have is this, My wife lost our receipts for EAD, AP and 485. original receipts that is. However, I have made several copies. I have been reading that in order to use AP, one has to have original receipt of 485 if this is true then i wont be able to user my AP for travel.

So is ther any ways or re odering new copies form USCIS for my 485 receipts. Can I use photo copy instead of original.

thanks!

I just came back from Canada and had no problems. I only used my AP and was not asked for the 485 receipt, but was asked for my I94.

Default I-131 question

Guys
I got the following mssg on I-131

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

On November 21, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.

Does it mean that my AP has been approved?

Why did they ask for I-94 ? Wouldn't the Airline remove the I-94 when you leave USA ?

Every time you enter the US, you need to fill out a new I-94 form.

Default Not 100 % True !!

Canada and USA come under same region so everytime you donot need to get new I-94 if you stay was for less than 30 days in Canada. But if your stay is more than 30 days then you need to get new I-94. That's what immigration office told us when we traveled to Canada in the month of May (@Ottawa) . I told him that airline ppl took my I -94 and he said you donot need to surrender yr I-94 at the airport. (Infact he said just remove yr I-94 from Passport and hide it. No Kidding. That's what he told us.)
