Default Returned to LAX, on AP

Hi All,
Just wanted to share my experience of travelling on AP. We just returned from a short vacation to Cancun , Mexico. Our port of entry back into US was LA. My husband has a valid H1 visa stamp on his passport and he used that to enter back , while my H1 visa stamp was expired. SO I showed AP to the IO. The process was very smooth, he checked the passport and AP, then asked me to go to another IO. He kept one copy of the AP himself, stamped the other, did some verifications on his computer and asked me some questions like my SSN#, Parents' name . And was it. The process was very smooth and hardly took any extra time.

Hope this is helpful.

Default more information, please?

you mentioned that both you and your husband have H1Bs. do you mind telling us who the primary applicant of your family's I-485 is? i assume your husband is rejoining his H1 employer. are you planning to rejoin your H1 employer without utilizing an EAD? what i'm trying to figure out is whether derivative applicants can use AP to re-enter and then continue to work for their original H1 employer.

thanks.

Thanks for sharing the info. Please correct me if I am wrong. My understanding is ur husband is the primary applicant for your 485. you have a valid H1 but no visa. you got AP based on your husband's 485 and you used that to enter US with your existing H1.Also, did you had to do anything after entering US, meaning updating your employer with any info.
Ours is exactly the same situation. Can you pls help by providing little more details. Thanks for your time..
