Default Boycott Swiss Airlines

Switzerland does not like Indian passport without a stamped US visa for transit. Even if you are flying from US to India, you need transit visa to change flights in Zurich or Bern. They don't consider Advance Parole equivalent to US visa.
So like they show typical European mentality and discriminate against Indian nationals. If you really want a comfortable journey, avoid Swiss and Switzerland.
Use American,Delta or Continental. Looks like those socialist/communist Europeans don't want our dollars :-)

You mean to say US does not require Indian nationals to have a transit visa.

I do agree that why subject yourself to the hassle of applying for a transit visa. Fly non-stop.

This time I am travelling via Air India non stop JFK to Mumbai. For the past few years I have used Emirates. As long as I have a choice not to travel via those countries with stupid rules, I will not even worry about it.

It is all about choice. When you have delta, continental, Air India, jet airways, Emirates, thai airways, singapore airlines, .................... I can write a huge list, why worry about going through Zurich?

Even Lufthansa has relaxed their rules recently.

Post Boycott Virgin Atlantic also

Always better to take direct flights if they are available.

Default European Carriers suck

Though their major chunk of revenue comes from South Asian routes.

Swiss is terrible as it is hard to get a transit visa. U need to make a trip to consulate and shell out some money and go through their socialist ways of treating people. They take 24 hours to deliver the passport in spite of the fact that no one seems to be doing anything when u go in there. Additionally swiss airlines staff has no clue about this transit visa rule. So you can be in real trouble if you buy Swiss airline tickets and they may not allow you to board the plane.

As Chandu said use non-stops or other flights and try to avoid Europe as much possible.

Default Boycott British Embassy

I am going through same problem. Applied for Airside Transit Visa and never got the passport and visa in time. Had to reschedule tickets after paying an additional $2000. More than that the attitude of Brits is repulsive!!!

Default Fly non-stop

Inspite of making money from Asian passengers, Asians are treated with disrespect from European carriers.
Once my friend was travelling with one of these carriers, and two passengers were issued the same seat number. Using racial algorithm, the white passenger was upgraded to first class to make up for his inconvinience.

Fly Air India, Jet Airways, etc.

Swiss is a bankrupt airline. Let us send them out of business.

BA is also an arrogant airline. Let us boycott that pig as well.

Thumbs up can u pl give more details

i thought of simply booking air tix with BritAir and forget abt it. 've no idea how valuable this info is for me. thx guyz.

the main reason for prefering BritAir is that the total travel time is max 24hrs.

can u pl provide more details abt ur exp. how many days before the travel time did u apply. would help me a lot. what is the procedure. do we need to apply in BritConsul in US?

Totally agree with this member........British Sucks......they discriminate with darker skin........the service is pathetic.........Count on them to leave your baggage at London airport and then you can reach them only via a 1800 # where every time you get to talk to a new agent who will not only ask all the history but give you no REAL answer.......

Fly Jet Airways!!! Awesome Service.......

Just curious as to any connection between Socialism / Communism and the Swiss? I always thought they were a democracy / capitalist economy?

where are you located ? if east coast then try delta (or air India, Jet etc) as they have nonstop flights which are very good. west coast will have good ones too
transit at any airports is a pain,
Direct (non-stop) flights seems to be the way to go these days.

I am flying by Delta on Thursday from Atlanta to Mumbai. Any recent experiences on Delta?

Thanks.

Default KLM_Northwest also suck money...

KLM_NW Airways also are not good , they does not give the flexibility to change the dates (postpone the trips), i lost nearly 1000$ on this Airways very bad... Airindia, Thai, Lufthansa, Emirates are good
