Default G-28

Guys,

Company B has offered to give me a full time job and they will be willing to provide AC21 letter and also apply for my H1.

I want to remove my current lawyer on I-485 using G-28 and replace them with company B's lawyer.

My current lawyer is an a$$ to say the least. I have a feeling that they will cancel my I-485 and I-140 for sure if I leave my current company A.

Does the old lawyer get a notification that they have been removed? How long does it take G-28 to process?

The reason I am asking this is to ensure that I time AC21, H1 and G-28 such that my current employer A and their lawyers do not know about it.

Thanks.

Default i don't think lawyer can cancle your I-485

Hi,
I don't think lawyer or employer can cancel your I-485, it's your application. If you are that much concerned, you can transfer H1b and file AC21 with new lawyer first. Once you settle in your new job you can send G-28 to USCIS.

G28 and job change are completely are independent.

Thanks,
Veera

No your old attorney won't get a notification once you file a G-28 with your new attorney. Since then, all communication about your case would go your new attorney.

We can't predict how long it takes.

Default does USICS send a response on changing G28

Has anyone updated there G-28 to a different lawyer. I sent info on the new attorney 30 days ago. I was wondering how long does USCIS take to do that? Do they respond with anything once they change the info ? anyone?

I am also planning to engage a new lawyer as my current lawyer is aligned with my current employer.

Please can you let me know how you have worked out the terms with the new laywer. Since the 48 is already filed how much the new lawyer will charge. Is it a flat rate or based on RFE (if issued) ? Freedom_fighter your answer will be appreciated.

One month back my lawyer sent AC21 and G28 to USCIS separately within a span of few days. I don't exactly know because of which one my I485, EAD, AP everything had soft LUDs.
