Default A question On I-94 EAD relationship

Hi, My H1B stamp on passport is expiring in Jan 08. I-94 is also expiring in Jan 08. I have EAD till Oct 08. I am not planning to file H1b extn. If I use EAD, what would happen to I-94? I-94 would still be in expired state, is that okay?

once you use EAD your I-94 will reflect "pending AOS", hence you are ok if it expires but make sure you renew your EADs to employment etc

If you say that if a person uses his EAD your I-94 will reflect "pending AOS" .. which I-94 are you talking about. Is the GC applicant going to receive another I-94 ?

I-94 is issued at airport when you enter usa and at that time it is marked "pending AOS".

If you are using EAD, current I-94 doesn't carry any wait.

I have this same question.

This thread is old, but I have the same question. So can somebody please confirm this?

Currently I am working on EAD. My I-94 attached to H1B (which is cancelled by employer) is valid till May 2010. Do I have to renew I-94 before this expires?

The date mentioned in the I94 is irrelevant when you move to EAD. Just make sure you renew your EAD for work and AP for travel.

Every time you go out, give your I94 and you will get a new one valid for 1 year from the date of entry at POE when using AP.

Thanks
