Default Need some help

I have an approved I 140 from an employer jun 2006 whom I left in the same year. I returned back to India and worked in India and other countries till now. I have 7 more months to complete 6 years for h1vsa. Can I still use the I140 and how can I file for 485. Please let me know if this I 140 will be of any use.

Thanks in advance

1)If you are out of US- your clock for H1B is rest. You should be eligible for 6 yrs. What makes you think 7 months only

2) You can port your Priority date for a new I140 if original not withdrawn.

Default I 140 approved

Hi pillagandhi,

Thanks a ton. Glad to know that I will have another 6 years on H1 and I can also port my I 140. My I 140 I guess has not been withdrawn since it is approved. How would we know if it is withdrawn and if it is not then how would we port it?

Any pointers, indications or links that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Partha
