@ fatjoe:

"With an IO" and "Assigned to IO" is the same, according to me. You need to ask them whether the IO has actually picked up the app. They use a bar scanner to update the status in their...

@ fatjoe:

"Assigned to an IO" is misleading. Do you know if it has been picked up by an IO or is it just waiting in the holding area (both of these are called assigned to IO)? If it has been...

Assigned to IO..

@ vikki, fatjoe:

There are 3 broad areas where your app can be:
1. In a huge storage area somewhere off site -> Contractor pulls out your app and transports it to NSC based on the list that NSC...

My response

@ Neelu:

a. Contact your senator and your congressman/woman. I contacted both. Senator's office had a very nice system of faxing in your request, just for USCIS issues, so I did that, and got a...

Review

@ caliguy: Find out if your case has been assigned to an IO or is it still waiting? "Under review" can mean it has been assigned or it is waiting in cold storage somewhere.

You should have got a FP notice in two weeks. In the past I have seen it take ~2 weeks usually. Also, the biom should have been updated after 15 months. Infopass was very useful for me in that...

Thanks for the hopes

Caliguy,

Thank you for the kind words. Yeah, lets hope something happens. On top of that, I responded recently to an RFE and now they wont let me open an SR for 60 days.

SR after RFE

Folks,

I recently replied to an RFE and now I get a standard response from CSR that I have to wait 60 days to open a SR. Can anyone suggest / advice on what to do to open an SR on my case?

Sr?

Hi greencard_fever,

How did you open a SR for your wife's case (which had an RFE)? I responded to an RFE and they say that I have to wait 60 days before opening an SR. Please let me know.

The words in red are standard for an EVL (employment verification letter) request. That is nothing to be scared of.

Infopass

Are you folks opening a Service request before taking an Infopass appointment? When I visit the site, it says that it needs an SR number. Am I missing something?
