Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act, the bill for removing per-country ceilings, has been re-introduced in the new Congress, under the leadership of Rep. Jason Chaffetz, Rep. Lofgren, and Rep. Labrador. This bill (formerly H.R.3012) passed the House in 2011 with a 97% majority and almost passed the Senate in 2012. The near-passage of this bill in the previous Congress and its’ re-introduction in the new Congress serves as strong indication that our issue remains on the fore-front of high-skilled immigrant issues.
