The DHS filed a motion in court indicating they would not publish a draft H4-EAD regulation until June 2018. This helped H4-EAD beneficiaries to continue to work and provide for their families for at least another 6 months. This was an outcome of Immigration Voice’s intervention in the H4-EAD lawsuit in April 2017, which halted DHS and Save Jobs USA’s plans to settle in April 2017 and forced DHS into a rule-making process.
