Immigration Voice members reach D.C. to advocate for the Fairness Bill (H.R.392) to be passed into law. There is optimism in the air, given the recent addition of H.R.392 to the DHS Appropriations Bill. Our members arrive with their families, including young children, who get a firsthand look at how Congress works. Our children learn by watching us and they do a wonderful job of advocating for the bill. They also share their own challenges connected to the backlog, especially in the case of children who risk aging out of their parents’ green card application if the Fairness bill does not pass.
