How to Contribute?
All contributions to Immigration Voice are non-refundable.
Individuals can contribute funds as one time contributions or recurring contributions:
1. Monthly Recurring Contributions (Preferred):
You can contribute to Immigration Voice on a monthly basis by signing up for a recurring payment method using PayPal. Your contribution amount can be as small as $30 per month. Once you sign up, the amount ($30/$60/$100/$200) will be debited from your chosen account each month. PayPal will email confirmation and account details directly into your email and you can use those emails for future changes and for payment confirmation. Payments are secure and safe and PayPal is used as a gateway to ensure secure transactions.

Note: If you previously signed up for $25 per month or $50 per month recurring contributions, you don't have to do anything, they will continue as $25 or $50 per month until they expire or you choose to cancel them.
2. One Time Contribution:
Immigration Voice prefers that all contributors make monthly recurring payments even if it’s an amount as small as $30 per month. However, if you choose to make a one-time payment only, you can do directly via PayPal.Me/immivoice. Or you can send in a personal check in the mail to the address listed below.

Immigration Voice continues to advocate our issues to both the chambers of U.S. Congress so that the bills are considered in a way that creates real and consequential solutions to our issues. We were successful in introducing amendments in 2006 during the Senate debate and bills in Congress in 2008, continuously created awareness for elimination of per-country limits in Employment Based Category and more green cards for permanent solution to green card backlogs. We will be again successful this year if we have strong funding for advocacy efforts.
Are my contributions tax-deductible?
Even though our organization helps a large number of people, since advocacy is a significant part of our expenses, we have a Tax exemption status under section 501(c)(4) . Because our Organization is not an Organization described in section 170(c) of the code, contributors may not deduct contributions made to our organization. Where is the money spent and how are the financials overseen?
Immigration Voice is a non-profit organization. Monies collected by Immigration Voice go towards grassroots’ efforts and obtaining advice from our strategic counsel in Washington, D.C. As a 501(c)(4) organization, Immigration Voice is obligated to file tax returns with the IRS and have its accounts audited by a CPA.
The team members and volunteers who are running this organization have a lot to lose if they misuse the funds and break the tax laws as it would hurt their own immigration process if they do so. The IRS tax code that dictates the use of funds for a non-profit ensures the accountability of the financials of this organization.
We realize that these contributions are public funds collected from a number of people who want solutions to the issue of inordinate waiting periods for EB Green Cards. We have taken great care in making sure that there is proper oversight of the funds collected and disbursed and transparency in the funds utilization. All funds are collected in the name of the organization only and not in any particular individual's name.
Note: Members are advised that by contributing to Immigration Voice in cash, kind, volunteering efforts, or by any other means of involvement, members realize that Immigration Voice is not liable for any delays in processing or inefficiencies inherent in the federal, state and other government agencies, given the nature of the system. Immigration Voice simply advocates and attempts to enlighten the community, policy makers and other parties that influence the institution of laws in the United States of changes required to make the system more efficient and considerate to employment-based immigrants and high-skilled workers. By contributing in any way to Immigration Voice, it is understood that no contract exists by which Immigration Voice can be held responsible for any changes to the immigration system. By reading this disclaimer, members understand that Immigration Voice attempts to advocate reforms in good faith. Any contribution made to Immigration Voice is non-refundable. Immigration Voice is tax exempt under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, and since Immigration Voice is not an organization as described in section 170(c) of the code, donors may not deduct contributions that have been made. As a 501(c)(4) organizations Immigration Voice cannot be responsible for your treatment of these donations on your tax returns. Being a 501(c)(4) organizations, contributions or donations to Immigration Voice are NOT tax deductible as charitable contributions. A part or entire percentage of your donation might be used for lobbying activities. However, it is your responsibility to report your donations accurately as required and to pay your taxes. We recommend consulting your tax adviser or tax preparer if you have any questions.
I have already signed up for recurring contributions using PayPal. How do I stop them?
If you signed up using PayPal account: All recurring contributions to Immigration Voice are processed by PayPal. If you signed up through your PayPal account, then you can simply log in to your PayPal account to stop the recurring contributions.
If you did not create/use PayPal account: Even if you do not have a PayPal account and if you have signed up for recurring payments directly from your credit card or debit card, it’s still PayPal that processes that transaction. You can click on one of the icons below that will take you to PayPal site where you can logon with your account (same as your email address) and your password. The email address and password would be the same email address and password you gave at the time of signing up. If you forgot your email/password, you can recover that from PayPal by clicking on Forgot Email or Forgot Password links on PayPal's Website. You will need the information about your name, credit card and other personal information to recover that.
